Sjsu Spring 2023 Academic Calendar – The course schedule for Fall 2021 is now available. Guided by the health and safety of our campus during this pandemic, we have created a schedule that gives students the opportunity to attend classes in person, fully online, and in hybrid mode.

I want to thank the deans, department heads, faculty, and staff who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to create a course schedule that will allow us to safely bring large numbers of students back to campus.

To ensure good air circulation and reduce the risk of spread during classroom sessions on campus, he adjusted his class schedule to allow more time between classes throughout the day. There is now a 30-minute reserve between courses for the fall semester.

We understand that there may be students who need to take an in-person course and then an online or hybrid course without having enough time to return home. We will create space for student seating, Wi-Fi access, online courses and hybrid courses or learning. Once we have completed these campus locations and the seat reservation process, we will share this with the campus community.

When browsing the timetable website, look at the "Training Method" column in the timetable. Lists each class as in-person, hybrid, or fully online. The comments column on the right side of the course schedule provides additional information about the teaching method. For example, a note for a hybrid class might read: "HYBRID – 2 meeting patterns: (1) face-to-face with daily/temporary meetings; and (2) NO specific Daily Online Meetings (TBA)."

Courses that are fully online synchronous will indicate "TBA" in the Day column, while courses that are fully online synchronous will indicate the days and times you will participate in the Zoom class. Hybrid classes will have multiple entries in the Days and Time columns, one for the live part of the class and one for the online part.

San Jose State University is very excited to announce the launch of a new Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in Spring 2023! Applications will be accepted through the Occupational Therapy Department starting June 1st. Applicants must also complete the OTCAS application process, which will be open from 21 July. Our OTD program is designed to develop leaders, advocates, and innovators in the field of occupational therapy with a clear focus on community engagement and social justice for the underprivileged. Information meetings will be held for interested students.

The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). In 2016, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) awarded us a ten-year accreditation based on our academic program. This is the longest accreditation period and we are incredibly proud of this achievement.
