January is the first month of the calendar, named after Janus, the god of change and beginnings. In Latin, Janurias is the month of Janus, it was added to the calendar with 29 days in 719 BC, because the king Noma Pompilius adopted a lunar calendar. This month is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus, which is usually celebrated on January 3rd.

February is the second month of the Gregorian calendar and the Julian calendar. It is the only month with less than 30 days. It is named after the Latin word "Fabrum", which means purification because the month is considered a time of purification. It was during the Lobracalia of ancient Rome that the girdle of goats was used for the rituals of purification that took place in this month and received the name "Febrarius".

Sometimes, in the case of the North Equator, this month is equal to the month of March in the South Equator. In the southern hemisphere, this is the beginning of spring weather. It also marks the beginning of the liturgical year according to the Eastern Orthodox Church.

October is the tenth month in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, October is the sixth month of the seven months of the year with 31 days. Before the addition of the first two months, January and February, October was the eighth month of the year or calendar. In ancient Latin, the month was called "Octo", which means "eighth". In the Northern Equator, October is the second month of autumn and marks the beginning of spring in the Southern Equator.
