Dollywood Calendar 2023 – Are you ready to visit the friendliest amusement park in the United States? Although Dollywood may be closed now, the 2022 season is about to begin, and here you'll find all the tour details, including Dollywood's opening hours and important dates to keep on your calendar!

Dollywood Calendar 2023

Dollywood will officially kick off its 2022 season on March 12, 2022. Check out all the important Dollywood dates and times you need to know to start planning your next visit!

Dollywood Plans Half Billion Dollar Investment, Including New Resort

Dollywood will officially open on March 12, 2022 and will remain open until January 1, 2023. In 2022, Dollywood is not open every day. Every month (except June and July) there are several days when the park is closed.

The park is also closed on certain major holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. To view this specific expiration date, click here.

Dollywood does not run regularly every day. Some days stay open longer than others, including summer festivals where the park stays open a little longer than spring days.

Dollywood Schedule 2022 And Guide

Some important Dollywood hours to note are special hours on Saturdays only for Dollywood Season Pass holders. Normally, season ticket holders can enter the park one hour early on Saturdays, with travel time for just one amusement park ride*.

* This has yet to be officially announced for the 2022 season, but is usually a season pass holder benefit!

Dollywood's hours and dates are quite similar to previous years of operation. The entire COVID protocol has so far been rejected due to the small number of cases.

New Coaster To Open At Dollywood In Spring 2023

Some of the highlights of Dollywood revolve around the amazing festivals you can see at the Smoky Mountain theme park. Here is a list of dates and times for the 2022 festival:

This relatively new festival immerses park visitors in the beauty of spring flowers through creative and aromatic displays, as well as the freshest spring flavors with delicious and mouth-watering selections from Smoky Mountain kitchens. To celebrate the amazing summer in the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood is open EVERY DAY of the Festival with an amazing drone show called the "Sweet Summer Nights Dance and Drone Show".

Big Bear Mountain

This is a GREAT time to take advantage of all that your Dollywood Season Pass has to offer. It's also the best time to get a great deal on Dollywood tickets, as you'll be able to stay at the park longer than any other time of the year, allowing you to do almost any Dollywood ride in 1 day!

Fall is the most beautiful time to visit the Smoky Mountains and the perfect time to visit Dollywood. You will find Dollywood hours from 10 am. until 9 pm. every day during this festival,

Dollywood saves the best for last when it comes to festivities, and the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival is one you'll definitely want to catch.

Please note that the park is closed from October 30 to November 4 to attend the festival. It is also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in November [open 1 Tuesday 22 November] and the first two Mondays and Tuesdays in December, as well as on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Dollywood's opening day for the 2022 season will be held on March 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. While opening days almost never change once announced, we always recommend calling Dollywood before making vacation plans and making reservations just in case!

While Dollywood hasn't announced any new attractions for 2022, it is adding popular festivals throughout the year.

America's Best Christmas Tradition Begins At Dollywood On Nov. 6

The Flower and Food Festival returns from April 22nd to June 5th with some brand new iconic Mosaic performances and a fresh menu full of delicious new dishes.

The Smoky Mountain Summer Festival runs June 18th – August 7th with the biggest drone and fireworks show of the night and the guest favorite Gazillion Bubble Show is back!

Harvest Festival will take place September 23 – October 29 with the all-new Hoot Owl Hollow Glow Show at Great Pumpkin LumiNights, plus more performances by new and returning artists.

If you've never been to Dollywood and are wondering where Dollywood is, here are the addresses, directions and a map to help you find it on your visit.

However, their mailing address may not be the correct location for the Dollywood entrance, so they recommend using the following address if you are using a GPS navigation device.

If you are driving to Pigeon Forge Park to go to Dollywood, just take traffic light #8 and follow the signs for the Dollywood Entrance.

We're back with another 2023 construction update from Dollywood, where a park is being prepared for what is believed to be a new roller coaster. I visited the park over the weekend to see how the construction site had changed since my last visit to the park in April.

Before we dive in, let's get a refresher on the area under construction. The chart below illustrates the main areas of interest.

Since my last visit, a ground green fence (structural wall) has been erected along the eastern side of the site.

Dollywood Is Reopening! Here's What You Need To Know For 2022!

This might be the first clue to the cable car theme – it would certainly fit in a nature themed area. But of course, this can only be a decorative touch that has nothing to do with future travel.

The current Wildwood Grove terminal – located to the right of the Dragonflier entrance – will likely lead to a new attraction.

Although part of the construction site can be seen from Wildwood Grove, the Dollywood Express train still provides the best view of the action.

Your August 2021 Calendar For Dollywood

The reinforcement is visible throughout the area. Whatever the new attraction is, it's going to cover a lot (literally).

The area was leveled when this section of land was cleared in preparation for the construction of Wildwood Grove. Hopefully this helps speed up the build schedule.

The park is essentially running on a blank slate, although of course there is still some preparatory work to be done in some areas of the site.
